Even when your safety valves cannot be removed, we can test and certify them in line.
- Testing of all spring-loaded safety valves without shutting down the plant or removing the valve from the line (especially useful for welded valves)
- No temperature correction factor needed
- A lift restrictor prevents uncontrolled lifting
- The test data is processed by our device’s valve management software, producing a report and certificate with all the valve’s details and its test graph
- All data can be retrieved again whenever needed
- A mechanical lift restrictor as standard, so the valve lifts as little as possible and the least process fluid is released
- The test equipment can close the valve if it stays open after the on-line test. If a hazardous or unexpected situation arises during the test, our certified technician can quickly turn the lifting action into pushing and close the valve
- ATEX certified, suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas
After the valve data and process conditions are entered or selected, the device software configures the equipment and sensors correctly and optimally, and we add the customer references required in the records and, if needed, a digital photo of each valve.
Once the lifting device is mounted on the gas, liquid or steam safety valve, our technician uses a hydraulic hand pump to apply a proportional force to the valve spindle that overcomes the spring tension and lifts the disc from the nozzle. The force is released quickly as soon as the disc lifts, and the test ends when the disc reseats. During the test, a combination of calibrated sensors measures force, lift, acoustics and process pressure.
